is a high
definition surveillance camera. The camera features include
an
always on hybrid mode that allows simultaneous analog
and digital video streams. There is DC auto iris support,
day/night automated IR filter and integrated video
motion detection.
NetCam SC
can be powered by POE (Power over
Ethernet), 12VDC or 24VAC and dropped into any
existing CCTV infrastructure. Video can be viewed via
Ethernet or Coax Cable.

At standard CCTV resolution
the
NetCam SC
will produces a much
higher quality image than any CCTV camera. This is due to StarDot's
integrated down sampling and intelligent video processing.

Why Video Out on an IP Camera?
A big shortcoming of most IP cameras is they can only be viewed with
a computer on a network. This is the whole point of an IP
camera.
NetCam SC
can be viewed
the high resolution output on any standard video monitor even
handheld LCD monitors.
What's so Special about Auto Iris Support?
On a standard CCTV camera, not much. To be able to use the widest
range of lenses, auto iris support is critical. Yet virtually no
megapixel or multi-megapixel IP camera can drive a DC auto iris lens
(other manufacturers skirt the problem with costly dual sensor/dual lens systems or they simply drive the lens wide open but don't
regulate the iris).
The auto iris lens
is operated by a galvanometer driven continuously
by an analog video signal. This is not an easy feat to accomplish
with a digital IP camera capable of resolutions up to 5 megapixel.
The
NetCam SC
was specifically designed to get around this
limitation. Auto Iris support combined with the SC's auto-mechanical IR filter makes it a true day/night IR camera.
Simple Yet Powerful. Viewing the camera is as
simple as typing an IP address in your web browser. It is essentially a computer with an
embedded high resolution camera. It runs the popular uClinux OS and
is full of open source and open standards. The
NetCam SC can be
customized for any application.
